The Race For Xmas No.1 Has Officially Started!
I'm sure you're all aware of the success Rage Against The Machine had last year, when they beat The X Factor to the Xmas number 1 spot.
This year, you may or may not have heard that there is a new campaign which is trying to get 'Surfin Bird - The Trashmen' to the Xmas number 1 spot. View Here
This campaign is showing the same signs of success as in 2009, with an incredible 600,000 fans, number 1 on the Amazon download chart and currently no. 11 on Itunes and always climbing. This is fantastic news and as always a whole days head start on the X factor singles release.

This Weeks New Release Predictions (6/12/10)

Joe McElderrys New Single Doesn't Make Top 40!
Have you heard Joe McElderrys new single? I haven't and he played it at my Xmas light switch on...
It's quite likely that you haven't heard it either as the mid week charts don't even position the former X Factor winners single in the Top 40. Last I heard you only needed 1000 or so sales to make it!
This is the problem with the X Factor, a buzz is created amongst the viewers each year for the new contestants, the problem being that these are the same viewers who last year obsessed over Joe. They don't care about Joe anymore, they just cant bloomin' wait to buy One Directions Xmas 'hit' or will it be Matt 'The Bully' Cardle, either way it'll be a nice one hit wonder. I use the word 'hit' rather loosely, it'll be some rehashed song that wasn't popular when it was first released and wont even suit the winners vocals.
Here is Joes new single and if you feel sorry for him, you can purchase it here for just 89p, and maybe he'll make the top 39 and hang on for one more song. Either way he's a gonner.
